Isa 64:8 - Yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter ;
we are all the work of your hand. NIV
Jer 18:1-6 - This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: "Go down to
the potter's house, and there I will give you my message." So I went down to the
potter's house, and I saw him working at the wheel. But the pot he was shaping
from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot,
shaping it as seemed best to him. Then the word of the Lord came to me: "O
house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does?" declares the Lord.
"Like clay in the hand of the potter , so are you in my hand,... NIV
Rom 9:21 - Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of
clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use? NIV
1 Cor 2:9-10 - "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him"— but God has revealed it to us
by his Spirit. NIV
1 John 3:19-4:1 This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how
we set our hearts at rest in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For
God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. Dear friends, if our
hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him
anything we ask, because we obey his commands and do what pleases him.
And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to
love one another as he commanded us. Those who obey his commands live in
him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by
the Spirit he gave us. NIV
